Esta imagen me impresionó por sus colores, por su forma similar a muchas de las galaxias que se observan en el cosmos y por esa dicotomía desconcertante que se presenta al mirarla: Belleza para un observador externo y terror en quienes los padecen...
El lunes 3 de Septiembre a las 21:35 hora local de COLOMBIA, los
satélites de la NASA situados en nuestra región, registraban en imágenes infrarrojas el fenómeno climático mas violento que azota cada año nuestro Mar Caribe, un huracán categoría 5.
Las imágenes infrarrojas se obtienen capturando la luz que está fuera del espectro visible, con longitudes de onda más cortas que el rojo. Los humanos no vemos esta clase de luz.
¿Cómo se consigue registrar en un CCD o un CMOS luz infrarroja? Se necesita un filtro en el objetivo que deje pasar sólo la parte del espectro que nos interesa, es decir, la luz infrarroja. El IR72 de la casa HOYA, es uno de los mas utilizados.
Hay un pero...no todas las cámaras digitales mas el filtro permiten capturar luz infrarroja, por lo tanto si deseamos practicar esta técnica debemos efectuar un test a la cámara. A la fecha solo puedo referenciar la ya descontinuada CANON D3O; un alumno practicante de la fotografía de paisajes en blanco y negro, la utiliza con excelentes resultados.

Spanish authorities have prosecuted a child for terrorism! Incredible but true!
14-year-old Èric Bertran e-mailed companies requesting labeling in
Catalan language, using the "Phoenix" monicker from the Harry Potter
books. The Spanish police accused him of organizing an Al Qaeda cell.
The authorities took him all the way to the Spanish High Court.
From August 27 to September 2, we're getting the word out, through
blogs, press releases, and other media. Here's the idea: We want this
film about the Èric Bertran case to be seen as many times as possible
from September 3rd to 9th, so that it ends up ranking in the "most
watched" circuit.
Through this coordinated effort, with the help of new communications
and information technologies, we hope to get some international
coverage of this case, and the true deficit of democracy in the
Spanish State, as well as the fact that the Catalan people are now
demanding their right to define themselves as a sovereign nation.
